Blackjack has the simplest rules in the casino — and one of the highest returns for the player when played correctly.
Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Aces count as 1 or 11, face cards as 10, and all other cards at face value. Simple as that.
If your hand is under 21 and you want another card, click "Hit". You can keep hitting as many times as you like until you get close to 21 or go over (bust).
When you're happy with your hand, click "Stand". The dealer then reveals the face-down card and plays until reaching 17 or more. If they go over 21, you win.
With certain hands — usually 9, 10, or 11 — you can double your bet and receive exactly one more card. It's one of the most powerful moves in basic strategy.
When you're dealt two cards of the same value, you can split them into two separate hands. Splitting Aces and 8s is almost always the right move according to basic strategy.
When the dealer shows an Ace, you can place an insurance side bet worth half your original wager. It pays 2:1 if the dealer has blackjack. Experts generally advise against it.
This simplified chart shows the mathematically correct play for the most common situations. Using it reduces the house edge to under 0.5%.

Blackjack is unlike anything else in a casino. While slots have you pressing a button and hoping for the best, every decision you make in blackjack has a direct impact on the outcome. A player using basic strategy correctly can bring the house edge below 0.5% — something no other casino category can offer. That's exactly why betx9 invested in building the best blackjack table selection available to Brazilian players.
The classic blackjack from Pragmatic Play is the perfect starting point for newcomers. With a minimum bet of R$ 2.00 and an RTP of 99.28%, you can play for a long time on a small balance while learning the right move for every situation. The interface is clean, shows a visible history of recent hands, and clearly displays your available actions each round.
For experienced players, Blackjack Switch by Playtech is a revelation. With an RTP of 99.87% — the highest of any variant at betx9 — it lets you swap the second card between two simultaneous hands before playing. This opens up entirely new tactical situations that seasoned players love to exploit. The push-on-22 rule (where the dealer ties instead of busting on 22) is the trade-off that balances this advantage, and understanding that dynamic is what separates average players from good ones.
Evolution's Infinite Blackjack is the go-to choice for players who don't want to wait for a seat. Unlike traditional tables limited to 7 spots, every player here receives the same initial cards and makes independent decisions from that point on. If you hit and another player stands, each of you plays out your own hand separately. The side bets — Any Pair, 21+3 and Hot 3 — add bigger win opportunities for those looking to take a little extra risk at any given moment.
Betx9's live casino is where the blackjack experience truly comes alive. Dealers speak Portuguese, the stream is in HD, and you feel the tension of watching the dealer flip that face-down card in real time. Blackjack Brasileiro by Pragmatic Play Live was built with the Brazilian audience in mind: peak hours aligned with the Brasília time zone, interface and chat fully in PT-BR, and special promotions tied to the Brazilian calendar — Carnival, Copa do Brasil, UFC week, and other dates that are part of life for players here.
One of the great advantages of playing blackjack at betx9 is full mobile support with no app to install. The entire live casino — including all dealer tables — runs directly in your Android or iPhone browser. Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live have done an outstanding job optimizing their interfaces for smaller screens: the table, cards, action buttons and player chat all display clearly even on a 6-inch screen. Many Brazilian players jump into betx9 during halftime of a football match or between rounds of the Brasileirão, precisely because mobile makes it possible without any drop in quality.
For members of the betx9 VIP Program, the blackjack tables offer a level of exclusivity that few platforms can match. The Evolution Blackjack Salon Privé, available to Gold members and above, seats you at a table with at most 2 other players, a dedicated dealer and manual shuffling every round — eliminating any doubt about card randomness. Diamond members get access to Blackjack VIP Diamond, where there is no maximum bet limit and terms are negotiated directly with your personal VIP manager.
From a financial standpoint, blackjack at betx9 operates with complete transparency. Each game's RTP is displayed in the table information, results in digital versions are generated by certified RNG, and live tables are broadcast with independent verification. Depositing via Pix takes seconds, and withdrawals are processed in under 2 minutes using the same method — no fees, no hassle.
If you've never played online blackjack before, betx9 is the place to start. If you already play somewhere else, it's worth the comparison: more variants, tables in PT-BR, the highest RTP available on Multihand and Switch, and a VIP program that rewards every real wagered with real cashback every week. Blackjack has always been the smart player's game — and betx9 is the platform that treats that player the way they deserve.
